Action Groups: Capital City Lighthouse Charter School

Welcome to Capitol City Lighthouse Charter School Action Group, dedicated to the success and growth of our open-enrollment public charter schools, and a local and state environment conducive to student success.

On July 21, 2014 Lighthouse Academies of Central Arkansas submitted its application to the Charter Authorizing Panel of the Arkansas Department of Education to create a campus in North Little Rock for the 2015-16 school year.

The school will be a K-12 model, initially serving grades K-6, approximately 344 students in year one. The school will add one grade, 50 students each year, for a maximum enrollment of 544 students in grades K-10 in the first five years.

The purpose of the school, and of all Lighthouse schools, is to prepare our students for college through a rigorous arts-infused program. Our vision is that all students will be taught by a highly effective teacher in a nurturing environment. Every student will achieve at high levels and develop the knowledge and values necessary for responsible citizenship and lifelong learning.

To ensure the success of our application, we must demonstrate our parental, citizen and community support. To that end, please join us by:
